In 1988, Denise Mitchell-Dignan made a commitment to provide the highest quality of furniture restoration to southern New England. Starting with a small shop in the heart of Mystic, CT, Woodja began its first furniture transformations. Now, with almost 30 years of furniture restoration experience and a brand new space to work, Woodja Woodworking is producing its finest work.
Denise was born and raised in the heart of Ohio. From a very young age, Denise was drawn towards the beauty of wood. Perhaps it was the cold Ohio winters or an escape route from her three sisters, but something drove Denise into her father’s woodshop day after day. After trans-forming her hobby into a profession at the University of Cincinnati School of Design, the Woodja dream began to take shape.
